Trial branding was agreed and six stores were identified that each served a different customer demographic. Three of the stores were chosen to receive ‘Red’ colour signage and messaging and three to receive ‘purple’ schemes in order to evaluate which was the preferred colour. Following a review of customer and staff feedback ‘Purple’ was identified as the preferred brand colour.
Our next step was to develop the signage that was to be installed for a new concept in the Vision Express flagship stores. Initially three stores were chosen. Working closely with Vision Express Store Development and CGL Architects a complete new look for the branding within these stores was rapidly designed and prototyped.
The new concept signage included externally illuminated fascias, Illuminated and non-illuminated internal messaging, wall graphics, 3D lettering to retail bays and Point of Sale Messaging.
The three stores were delivered on consecutive weeks in May to tie in with the launch of a National TV advertising campaign.
Vision Express and Grand Vision Directors reported feedback of the look and feel of the stores was very positive as was the upturn in customer footfall.
The Future Is Purple
Following on from the success of the trial stores all future refurbishment and new stores will be moving over to the new ‘purple’ colour scheme and messaging.
